Hopes and Speculations for Pokémon Gen 7
With Pokémon Sun and Moon due "late 2016," here are my hopes and speculations for the 7th Generation and what the new games might contain. The video version of this podcast will be uploaded tomorrow evening.

Gen 7 Pokémon Games Have Been Confirmed: Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon!
After the day-long speculation of the
Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon logos yesterday, we've finally been given our answer in
today's Pokémon Direct: Generation 7 of Pokémon is on the way!
Fans have been
trying to guess what the next main series game will be since Omega Ruby and
Alpha Sapphire came out, if not longer. With the multiple Zygarde forms that
were revealed many people leaned towards "Pokémon Z," which seemed
like the logical answer. Others thought Gen 6 remakes of Red/Blue or Yellow for
the 20th Anniversary, but instead we've got the re-releases on the eShop.
All we know about Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon at this point is that it's a 3DS title as expected, it'll be out "Holiday 2016" with a world-wide release and it'll have nine languages to choose from instead of seven. Furthermore, you will be able to transfer Pokémon from the eShop versions of Red, Blue and Yellow to Sun and Moon via Pokémon bank.
With the confirmation of Sun and Moon we've now got a whopping six games in 2016 to mark two decades of Pokémon. Super Mystery Dungeon (in Europe) and Great Detective Pikachu (Japan only) came out earlier this month with the Wii U version of Pokken Tournament due for initial release on 18th March. There's no release date for Pokémon GO yet but the eShop versions of Red, Blue and Yellow will be available tomorrow (27th February), marking the 20th Anniversary of Pokémon's original release.

What Are Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon?
With the Pokémon Direct airing tomorrow (26th Feb) rumours and speculations have been floating around all week. But apparently today a European trademark company has added listings for two possible Pokémon game titles and logos.
"Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon"... Could these be the purpose of tomorrow's Direct, or could they be placeholder names for future titles further down the line? Or are they simply wild rumours that someone's stirring up? You should never believe everything you see on the internet kids!

Bayonetta and Corrin are here!
The latest Smash Bros. fighters, Bayonetta and Corrin, are finally here, and they are freaking awesome! Hailing from... well... Bayonetta and Fire Emblem Fates, the pair hit the eShop today and have already been all over the online matches. And for good reason: each of them has their own style and flair that really liven up the battlefield.
